01 — What’s included

What’s included in NDIS & DVA cleaning

Ousie offers regular home cleaning for NDIS participants and DVA clients at a flat hourly rate. You pay for the hours you book, with a minimum of 3 hours per clean, and the same cleaner stays on the booking from visit to visit.

When you book, answer yes to “Is this for disability or aged-care?”, choose NDIS or DVA, and add the participant’s details. Each clean is invoiced by the hour by your cleaner, to you or straight to your plan manager. Ousie isn’t a registered NDIS provider, so agency-managed (NDIA-managed) plans can’t be used.

NDIS & DVA cleaning questions

How much does NDIS cleaning cost?

NDIS cleaning is $57.50 per hour, with a minimum of 3 hours per clean. DVA cleaning is $71.50 per hour, with a minimum of 3 hours. You see the total before you book.

Can I use my NDIS plan for cleaning?

House cleaning is often funded through household tasks support in an NDIS plan. What is covered depends on your plan, so check with your plan manager or support coordinator if you are unsure.

Can I book if my NDIS plan is agency-managed?

No. Ousie isn’t a registered NDIS provider, and agency-managed (NDIA-managed) plans can only pay registered providers. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can book: your cleaner is an independent provider who invoices you, or your plan manager, directly.

What details do I need to book?

For NDIS: the participant’s name and NDIS number, and how the plan is managed. For plan-managed plans, add your plan manager’s name and email. For DVA: the veteran’s name and DVA file number.

What does a funded clean include?

Funded cleans are regular home cleans: dusting, vacuuming and mopping, bathrooms, kitchen benches and general tidying. NDIS does not fund end of lease (bond) cleaning or professional carpet cleaning.
